We want your experience to be smooth from checkout to delivery. Read through our policies below so you know exactly what to expect.
Ordering & Shipping
How Your Order Gets to You
All orders are processed within 5 to 10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You'll receive a second notification once your order has shipped. All orders may be subject to this processing time regardless of the shipping method selected. Premium Shipping orders are always prioritized, but may still be subject to standard processing times. If your order is time-sensitive, contact us by email or phone.
Once an order is placed online, it cannot be canceled.
Double-Check Before You Order
We cannot cancel or make changes once an order is placed. Verify cart items, billing, and shipping address before confirming. We do not refund items shipped to an incorrect address.
Tracked & Delivered = Fulfilled
If tracking shows your order was delivered and you didn't receive it, contact your mail carrier to file a claim. We do not reship orders confirmed as delivered to the provided address.
Apartment or Common Mailroom?
Consider shipping to an alternate address to reduce theft risk. We do not reship orders tracked and delivered to the address provided.
International Orders
Customers shipping internationally are personally responsible for any customs or import fees that may occur. These are not covered by Surf's Up Candle.
Returned to Sender
If an order is returned to us, the customer is responsible for all reshipment costs. Surf's Up Candle is not liable for reshipment of returned orders.
Discount Codes
Only ONE discount code per transaction. Subscription Boxes, Autoships, Fundraising Candles, BOGO, Clearance, and Sidewalk Sale items are always excluded from coupons.
Package Insurance
Guide Shipping Protection
All customers are eligible to purchase package insurance through our Guide Shipping Protection. This service covers orders lost in transit and packages displaying as delivered but missing.
Surf's Up Candle is not liable for orders where product protection has been deselected at checkout.
In-Store Pickup
Free Local Pickup — Belmar, NJ
Skip shipping fees with free local pickup at 1703 Main Street, Belmar NJ. Select local pickup at checkout — your order will be ready within 5 to 7 business days. We'll email you when it's ready with pickup instructions. Bring your photo ID. You may only pick up your own order — we cannot release orders to someone else.
Pickup Hours
All orders must be picked up within 14 days of notification. Orders not picked up within this window will be restocked and subject to a 25% restocking fee returned as store credit.
Return Policy
Returns & Exchanges
All merchandise must be returned unused and in its original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Candles may be returned for store credit only. The customer is responsible for all return shipping and handling costs. Surf's Up Candle does not refund original or return shipping charges.
Eligible Returns
Unused items in original packaging returned within 30 days. Items purchased in a pack must be returned as a complete pack — partial pack returns are not eligible.
Shipping Deductions
If you received free shipping, original shipping costs are deducted from your store credit. If you received flat rate shipping, actual shipping costs are deducted.
Lost Return Packages
Surf's Up Candle is not responsible for items lost in transit on their way back to us. We strongly recommend insuring your return package.
