Our Story
It All Started With One Crock Pot
Back in 2014, a single mother of four got the idea to manufacture soy candles while attending a local festival. After doing some research, she started what would later become Surf's Up Candle with just a crock pot in her kitchen.
Her multiple crock pot operation quickly turned into a garage warehouse and she was able to start hiring employees to help fuel her dream. She worked around the clock to get her name out to local retailers — and word started to spread countrywide.
Her creative mind never stopped working. What began as mason jar candles grew into a full line of paint can candles, lotions, soaps, sugar scrubs, diffusers, hand sanitizers, lip balms, body wash, and air fresheners.
Surf's Up Candle opened its first retail store in June of 2017 and has since grown to a 10,000 sq ft warehouse with 10 employees, shipping to retailers worldwide.

2014
Started in the Kitchen
Michelle discovered candle-making at a local festival and launched Surf's Up Candle from home with a single crock pot.
2015–2016
Garage to Local Retailer
Demand grew fast. The kitchen became a garage warehouse and the first employees joined the team as products reached local retailers.
2017
First Retail Store Opens
Surf's Up Candle opened its first brick-and-mortar retail location in June 2017 — a major milestone for the brand.
Today
10,000 Sq Ft & Shipping Worldwide
A 10,000 sq ft warehouse, 10 employees, 100+ fragrances, and a full product line shipping to retailers around the world.
