A Little Care Goes a Long Way

Our candles are hand-poured with all-natural soy wax to give you the cleanest, longest burn possible. Follow these guidelines and your candle will reward you with hours of beautiful fragrance.

First Burn

Upon first use, burn 16oz or larger candles for at least 2 hours — or until the entire surface has turned into a wax pool for smaller candles. This creates an even burn and lengthens the life of your candle.

Trim Your Wick

Keep your wick centered and trim to 1/4" before every lighting. This gives you a brighter, cleaner burn and prevents smoking and soot marks. Failure to trim can cause the wick to shift and the jar to overheat.

Keep the Wax Pool Clean

Make sure the candle's wax pool is free from wick trimmings and debris at all times. Foreign material in the wax pool can create uneven burning and safety hazards.

Max Burn Time

Do not burn your candle for longer than 3 hours or until a complete wax pool forms across the entire surface. Extended burns can cause overheating and reduce candle life.

Avoid Drafts & Vents

Place your candle away from drafts, open air vents, and ceiling fans. Air movement causes rapid burning, flare-ups, and black smoke stains or soot buildup on your mason jar or paint can.

Use a Stable, Heat-Safe Surface

Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface. A fire-safe surface protects against heat damage to underlying materials and prevents the mason jar from breaking.

Stop at 1/2" of Wax

Never burn your candle all the way to the bottom. Stop burning when 1/2" of wax remains. Burning too low can cause the mason jar or paint can to break from excess heat.

Let It Cool Before Moving

After extinguishing, allow the candle to cool completely before touching or moving it. After a full burn session, the jar or paint can will be hot — use an oven mitt if you need to handle it.

Smoking or High Flame?

If your candle smokes repeatedly, flickers, or produces a high flame — the wick needs trimming. Extinguish immediately, let the candle cool completely, then re-center and trim the wick before relighting.

Never Leave Unattended

Always burn candles within sight and on heat-safe surfaces. Never burn near anything flammable. When extinguishing, never use water — ensure the wick ember is fully out before leaving.

Keep Away from Children & Pets

Always keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets. Place candles away from high-traffic areas where the flame could be disturbed, causing black smoke or soot buildup.
